Father-Officer Gabriel de Fersen - Compilation

Description

Father-Officer Gabriel de Fersen used to be a Knight of the Holy Order of the Temple, in other words, a Knight Templar. In Infinity, the Knights Templar were responsible for developing new combat technology, and they are responsible for the systems used in MULTI Rifles, and the predecessors of the systems used in Spitfires, as well as many naval-class artillery weapons still mounted on space ships to date.

Sadly the order was dissolved after a scandal involving AI creation. The Knights Templar were suspected of creating these AI's to usurp ALEPH, the AI that governs the Human Sphere, which is considered an act of treason and terrorism. Although this remains unconfirmed, the implications and the illegal practices alone sealed their fate. Most Templars fled, and found refuge with the Nomad nation, but others faced trials and were sentenced for life, or to death. Here is an example of a Knight Templar who was found innocent and ignorant of the AI conspiracy, therefore he was allowed to join the Knights Hospitaller as his new order.

He fights hard to clear the name of his previous order, but in the eyes of his brothers, his origins will always be a stain on his history that will probably see him never advancing beyond his current rank, despite his acts of bravery during his specialization: rescue missions in enemy territory.

This guy was a blast to paint. The cloak is PERFECT for highlighting, and his Templar sword gave me a good excuse to try the usual glowy gradient out in a new colour. I find the green contasts very nicely with his robes.
His armor was pretty fun to make too. It took a lot of custom washes to get it those exact shades of steel blue.
Furthermore it is the first bare-faced model from the Infinity range that I painted. I absolutely suck at painting faces, but this face was so detailed that I had an easier time with it than normally. An absolutely stunning miniature that Corvus Belli made here!
